Provar internationalization support FAQ
How does Provar help with Salesforce multi-language testing?
With Provar, Salesforce QA teams can build one test that will work for multiple languages. This eliminates the need to create and maintain unique tests for each language.
Provar currently supports English, Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Swedish and Japanese (Beta) If you have a requirement for additional language support, please contact your Account Manager or drop us a line.. We can then instruct you on how to configure and deploy translations for your chosen languages.
Many Salesforce customers are global businesses managing a Salesforce org that is deployed in a variety of languages, delivering the same functional capability for users with different language preferences. Provar offers a testing solution that will work for multiple languages without the overhead of developing, deploying and maintaining a different test for each language. This makes it easier to test quickly and efficiently so you can deliver releases with confidence.
Definitely yes. Provar identifies the Salesforce language in use and locates fields automatically. A test case can be built in one language and executed in a different language with no additional development required by the test builder.
Provar has a unique way of identifying field locators using Salesforce metadata instead of the traditional testing approach of using labels to locate fields. Labels often change with a language, meaning the locators won’t work on more than one language and a unique test is required for each language. With Salesforce metadata, Provar locates fields and identifies the language automatically, making the test easy to build, reusable across multiple languages and more resilient.
Yes. A test can be created for an English language user Salesforce org and will automatically update when it is used in testing a Salesforce org with any of the other Provar supported languages. This reduces test building, debugging and maintenance time normally associated with building language-specific Salesforce tests.
Provar automatically identifies the user language and locale, imports Salesforce metadata and automatically updates the test to match. This approach facilitates no code test building, context-specific guidance for labeling, test reusability and most importantly, the ability to create a single test that will automatically work with multiple languages. QA managers now have tremendous leverage in multilingual testing because they can create a test in Danish, for example, that will automatically be updated when used to test an org with any of the other Provar supported languages.
One test. Many languages.
