Former Salesforce Program Architect Ivan Harris Joins Provar as CTO
Harris brings C-level technology and product leadership experience to Provar’s focus on Salesforce and technology partner strategy
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—September 12, 2022—Former Salesforce program architect Ivan Harris has joined Provar, a leading test solution provider, as chief technology officer (CTO). Provar provides intuitive testing solutions, including Provar Automation and Provar Manager, with world-class service to help teams capitalize on their Salesforce investment.
“Provar offers the only Salesforce testing solution engineered from the ground up for Salesforce and the only test management solution built specifically to support your Salesforce quality journey,” said Geraint Waters, CEO at Provar. “Ivan’s wealth of Salesforce knowledge, combined with his 20 years of C-level experience, will help us strengthen our alignment with Salesforce and technology partners for the benefit of our customers. He has an ideal portfolio of skills to inspire and innovate as Provar’s CTO, and we are delighted he is joining us at a pivotal time in the testing industry when low-code testing is booming and the need for robust but easy-to-use automated testing solutions is urgent.”
Before joining Provar, Harris was based in Australia, working with some of Salesforce’s largest and most complex multi-cloud customers on enterprise transformation projects to help accelerate their time to value. For more than a decade, Harris focused on creating products that are built on, or that integrate with, Salesforce. He has led teams that have launched five Salesforce AppExchange apps and an AI platform that integrates with Salesforce Service Cloud to provide customer service automation.
Harris spent the first 15 years of his career in the aerospace and defense industry designing, writing and testing safety-critical embedded software. During the second half of his career, he held several C-level technology and product leadership roles helping B2B enterprise software startups bring innovative solutions to market. In his spare time, Harris is writing a book, “Beginning Salesforce DX,” which is due to be published by Apress in late 2022.
More Customization Calls For Improved Testing
Salesforce is rolling out new tools such as Salesforce DX, Code Builder and DevOps Center to improve the experience for developing and deploying custom applications and customizations on their platform. Provar is able to support the more frequent and shorter release cycles of agile, collaborative, and iterative development with comprehensive testing throughout the development cycle. Teams can test and deploy more frequently while also improving the end-user experience.
“ISV partners and large, complex organizations alike have a need for repeatable end-to-end testing that integrates with DevOps tools and agile processes, resulting in high-quality deliverables and deployments,” said Harris. “Provar’s relevance has expanded to a wider group of stakeholders with the recent launch of Provar Manager. It acts as a quality hub, managing the entire testing process for multiple personas including testers, developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts and admins, enabling them to collaborate throughout the development process. It will be my focus to strengthen our alignment with Salesforce and technology partners for the benefit of our customers.”
Provar pairs intuitive testing solutions, including Provar Automation and Provar Manager, with world-class service to help teams capitalize on their Salesforce investment. Its comprehensive suite of testing products is designed to improve release agility, drive down system defects and advance innovation, meeting people at every stage in their journey — from the individual manual tester to comprehensive QA teams with automated workflows.
